Barangay Canada began as a vision 11 years ago. at that time, the support available for newcomers was limited and hard to find. I met and talked with people who are new and old to Canada and I realized that we are all facing the same challenges when we first moved to this country. Although a lot of us are graduates and career-oriented from our own country of residence. Still, it's hard for us to get the same job that we have had back to our native land, because of the lack of knowledge and information on how life works here in Canada. We continue to encounter the obstacle of life that we can actually avoid if we are guided in a proper way of living. Some people find the right direction and others are unlucky that they need to walk through the hard way facing mountains of challenges resulting from choosing the wrong decisions in life simply because there was no proper guidance.

 

We continue to be very fortunate in this country to have access to a lot of things provided by the government of Canada to help new immigrants like us, to be successful but the problem is we often don't know how and where to get the right information or sometimes scared to take it. The unanimous feeling that I was left with was a big question of that there was an enormous gap of information to all newcomers and that needs to be addressed.

I felt like certain things were viewed as secondary concerns even though we knew that we should be focused to create a stronger foundation to start with. for us to reach our dream and be successful in this new country. I believe that this could have been easier if only we received proper information from day one.

and so the idea was born...

 

Barangay Canada is created to help thousands of new immigrants who are looking for useful and helpful information to start their new life in Canada in a smarter way. This organization provides proper advice to share great information about freebies provided to all permanent residents and citizens of Canada.  This service is open to all communities and provides free access to information, welcome gifts, and referral services.

 

We hope that this organization will help each and everyone to resolve and overcome challenges that they will face along the way.
